The Forge is a pop-up community maker space in Edinburgh
Based in renovated shipping containers, we provide both woodwork and metalwork tools, facilities and training to people from all walks of life, from students to retired engineers, from homeless people to professionals, from artists to DIY enthusiasts.

The Forge is currently closed as we complete our move to our new home at Gorgie Farm.
5th May 2026 – We are on site at Gorgie Farm and our volunteers have been working non stop to get the site and workshops set up to be ready to open. There have been some unexpected electrical delays which has prevented us from opening, hoever we hope to have these sorted soon so we can open in the coming weeks.
